Downtown Ferndale is excited to be part of the 2013
Metro Times Blowout! For those of you who aren’t familiar
with the Blowout, it is the one of the longest-running (16th year)
and largest events of its kind, featuring the best local and regional
musical talent and attracts over 5,000 attendees. Traditionally
held in Detroit and Hamtramck, it is expanding this year to include
a second weekend – in Ferndale – with 10 venues!

**Join
the Ferndale DDA at the Rust Belt Market and help us raise funds
for ARTWN (pronounced Art Town), a public art initiative for Downtown
Ferndale. All funds raised at the bar inside the Rust Belt Market
goes towards the legacy of public art.
You
can also assist us by volunteering during this event at the Rust
Belt. Volunteers are needed for tending bar, selling drink tickets,
checking id's, managing the bar area and ensuring visitors to Downtown
Ferndale have rockin' good time.
So, grab a group of friends – or come by
yourself & make some new ones – and sign up for one (or
more) of the following shifts! Not only will you get to hear some
great local music, you’ll get to meet some great people, do
a little networking and most importantly, you’ll get to help
your downtown raise some funds to support ARTWN and public art in
Downtown Ferndale!
