On a daily basis, Ferndale Park+ is getting closer to launch. By February 6, the new multi-space pay stations will be in full operation and you will be able to pay for parking by coin, by paper, by plastic or by cellphone. It is just one more step in making the Downtown experience as enjoyable and convenient as possible.
The Ferndale Park+ Installation Schedule is (Weather Permitting):
Starting January 28:
- Monday (1/28) – Lot 4 (Planavon) /Lot 7 (Schnell-Carah)/Lot 8 (Old Rosie’s
- Tuesday (1/29) – Lot 10 (Library)/ Lot 13 (Lux)
- Wednesday (1/30) – Lot 1(West Breckenridge)/Lot 2 (Perry)/ Lot 15 (E. Breckenridge)
- Thursday (1/31) – Lot 11(City Hall) / Lot 12 (Police Station)
Starting February 4:
- Monday (2/4) – Lot 6 (West Troy)
- Tuesday (2/5) – Lot 3 (Withington)
- Wednesday (2/6) – Lot 9 (Falvey)
Ambassadors:
Hitting the streets at the same time as the installation process will be Parking Ambassadors who will be there to assist customers with the new Park+ system. Ambassadors will be out in the scheduled parking lots as the installation rolls out and then also for two weeks following to help ease everybody into using this new and exciting system. Please look for your friendly City of Ferndale Police Auxiliary and Enforcement Officers for assistance. They are here to help!
New Rates and Hours of Operations:
The Ferndale City Council, at its January 14 meeting, approved new hours of enforcement and rate changes.
New Hours: 9 am–11 pm, Monday-Saturday.
New Rates: 75 cents per hour with evening rates of $1 per hour, 7-11 pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. 50 cents per hour at Lot #1 (W. Breckenridge), evening rates apply.
FREE parking Sundays & holidays at all lots and daily at Lot #5 (American Legion Hall).
New Pass Rates are: Discount - $84 for 3 months/$252 for 1 year. Standard - $108 for 3 months/$324 for 1 year. Premium - $120 for 3 months/$360 for 1year. Downtown Resident - $75 for 6 months/$100 for 1 year. Passes will not be available April 1. In the meantime, employees can purchase a monthly pass for $20.
