 T hird Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. in Downtown Ferndale will keep you coming back for more, brought to you by the Ferndale DDA and supporting merchants. Activities such as local sales specials, the Community Farm Stand, live music and entertainment, and demonstrations keep the sidewalks popping with life with a different theme each month, making it a ritual for your Third Thursdays throughout the year.
The Zombies are back this Third Thursday on October 15. Come Downtown and:
- Walk like a Zombie for Gleaners Food Bank, donation barrels will be throughout Downtown Ferndale.
- Walk to the Sam Rami Historical Marker and Day of the Dead altars in front of Candle Wick Shop and Boston Tea Room; great selection of Zombie repellent candles at Candle Wick Shop and ghost storytelling at Boston Tea Room.
- Kids grab a sugar skull at Pinwheel Bakery and add your artistic design of the scariest monsters and skeletons to their giant chalkboard.
- Zombie central at American Pop, a cult classic.
- Get your Zombie-on at Dye Salon and Meagan Mitchell Salon with their Boo-tique hair and makeup specials.
- Say "ahhh" to the camera with Ed Lane from Digital Lane Photography who will be taking portrait photos of all the Zombie families out there, one to truly cherish and take home.
- Stop in for a snack of cider and doughnuts at Angel's Cafe.
- Zombies like to look good too, so Mother Fletcher's is the ultimate Halloween boutique for the creative souls.
- Prepare for your own Halloween party at Dollar Castle with tons of decorations and partyware.
- And for a good haunting read, stop into Library Bookstore for a horror book to take home and read to the entire Zombie family.
