Build Program

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Ferndale DDA encourages investment in the district through its BUILD Program which provides property owners and new or expanding downtown business tenants partial reimbursement for eligible façade improvements.  These improvements include signage, interior rehabilitation for historical buildings or buildings characterized by the community as historical (50 years or older), sustainable and/or green components and new construction.

If you’re building, renovating, painting, or adding new signage in Downtown Ferndale, you will need to follow the DDA’s Design Guidelines, the City of Ferndale Code of Ordinances and the City of Ferndale Zoning Code of Ordinances. Please also reference the City of Ferndale Zoning Map to understand where certain zoning ordinances apply geographically.

For consideration of DDA funding for your improvements, please review  BUILD program guidelines to determine eligibility and then submit form. Businesses who follow the DDA Design Guidelines closely will receive high consideration.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
