FernNet is Downtown Ferndale’s monthly Business-to-Business networking opportunity, hosted by the BizDev committee of the Ferndale Downtown Development Authority, held at different businesses around town and featuring key information and programs to help current businesses improve their bottom line.  Although the location changes to give exposure to different businesses, the time and date are constant and FernNet is held the LAST Wednesday of the month at 9 am.   Short, sweet and to-the-point, FernNet starts and ends within an hour so business owners and employees can head back to work, primed with great information and FREE coffee.  Plan to attend and bring your neighbor.  If you aren’t a business yet — but you’re thinking of becoming one — stop in.  All are welcome.

July’s FernNet will be held at the Boston Tea Room at 224 W. Nine Mile Rd., Wednesday, July 30 at 9 am.
This month’s topic: “Merchandising” by Paul Balog of Detroit Display & Design.

If you remember the windows in the last days of the J.L. Hudson company you have seen the work of Mr. Balog, who now uses his extensive expertise to advice blients such as Form, GM, Chrysler, Toyota & VW.  He not only consults retail businesses on how to put their best merchandise forward, he also provides the props for making windows pop.  Don’t miss this rare opportunity to meet a master and learn how your windows are a portal to all you sell!

September’s FernNet Topic will be “Safe & Secure”  featuring Daryn Rollins from Pinkerton Consulting.
Place TBD.  Date is September 24.
