Launched in 2021, this beloved free concert series brings nine weeks of live music to Schiffer Park on Nine Mile in Downtown Ferndale!
The Nine on Nine Concert Series features local performers with a wide range of musical styles. Concerts happen every Sunday at 4 PM on Nine Mile for nine consecutive weeks. [See Series Schedule below] Arrive early with a carry-out meal and a PATIO Zone drink, and enjoy the creative sounds and atmosphere with family, friends and furry companions. Stick around afterward to mix and mingle at local businesses!
Each performance runs from 4 PM to 5 PM each week for nine weeks beginning July 12, 2026. The final concert in the series is schedule for September 6, 2026.

Ms. Megan’s Music Makers is returning! This is a great activity for families and children to join in a drop-in musical activity! No need to register! Free for all families.
August 2 – 1:00 to 3:00 – Vinyl Day
Learn all about the resources available & events offered by the Ferndale Library at their Information Station, including online library card sign up and new features like their circulating vinyl collection! Attendees will receive a coupon from Found Sound💿
August 9 – 2:30 to 5:00 – Book Day
Bring your little ones for a cozy Story Time from 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM, designed for children ages 1–6. Then stick around for a Book Swap from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM—a great opportunity to exchange gently loved books and discover new favorites. Hosted by Love & Other Books

August 16 – 2:00 to 4:00 – Doggie Day
Whether your dog loves making new friends or you simply want to connect with fellow pet lovers, Doggie Day is a paw-fect way to spend the afternoon! Bring your four-legged friend to Schiffer Park for an afternoon of tail-wagging fun! Meet the team from Poodle & Co. and learn about the variety of services they offer to keep your pub looking and feeling their best. Then, join the K9 Turbo team for a guided walk to Maestro’s Dog Haus
September 6 – 1:00 PM to 3:00 – Drop in Jam Session
Bring your instrument and join the first-ever Drop-In Jam Session! Whether you’re an experienced musician or simply enjoy playing with others, this casual gathering is a great opportunity to connect, collaborate, and make music together. Hosted by Pursell Lutherie.
